Accepting Personal Responsibility

Accepting Personal Responsibility for our own lives and realities is one of the most self empowering things that we could ever do for ourselves and those we love.

Shakespeare once wrote: All the world’s a stage, And all the men and women merely players: They have their exits and their entrances;
And one man in his time plays many parts.

In reviewing a training entitled “Write Your Own Script” given by the noted speaker & author Brian Tracy I was reminded of this simple yet powerful statement. If we are all merely players in a play the question that must be asked is “Whose play is it?”

When you come to the realization that in fact the play of life is actually of our own making then the next question may be “What part do I play in it?”

The simple fact of the matter is that we play whichever part we choose to play. Some of us play the play of the fool or court jester if you will by ignoring those timeless principles which might produce abundance within our lives and those of our loved ones.

Then there are those who play the role of nobility and successful merchant. These are the folks the rest of society works for. These individuals are the 20% of the population who control 80% of the wealth which flows so freely throughout our lands.

I hear some of you thinking right now “It’s not fair!” and guess what? You would be dead wrong because fair is exactly what life is. Life will give you exactly what you would demand of it. Nothing more, nothing less.

It is up to ourselves to crystallize our vision of what it is that we want our lives to be. The process of manifesting this preferred existence is that of idealization. This process allows us to imagine exactly how we want our lives to be and then experience this life first in our minds on a mental and emotional level and later in our physical world as well.

A universally accepted principle is that we bring about that which we focus on. So it is imperative that we focus on those things which serve our goals and aspirations and not that which would hold us back.

By using this as a singular guiding principle to live our life by it then stands to reason that if there is someone or something that is currently within our lives which upsets us that all we have to do is take our energy and focus it elsewhere.

If we are currently friends with those individuals who don’t align with where it is that we are headed in life then it is up to us to make the decision to not associate with them. If we are in a job that doesn’t fulfill us then it is up to us to take the necessary steps to change this. If we are dissatisfied with the results we have been achieving in our business building efforts then guess what? It is up to us and no one else to change those results by obtaining the education and training that is needed to develop additional skill sets to change these results.

One of the most wonderful things about life and the human existence is that above all of God’s creatures we are the only ones which were blessed with free will. This allows us to create, live, and experience the reality that we choose to experience.

Isn’t it time we all took responsibility for our own actions and achieved what we are truly capable of achieving?
