Are Your Dreams Big Enough?

Are Your Dreams Big Enough 300x300 Are Your Dreams Big Enough? Are your dreams big enough? At first glance you might think this an odd question to ask my readers who for the most part are involved in the MLM   Network Marketing Industry but I assure you it’s not. In fact there are two specific areas that I want to touch on as it pertains to dreams within this industry.

With the first area I want to ask you are your dreams something that others might laugh at? Are they something that others might think ” there is absolutely no way that can happen”. Are they such that you have no idea how they are going to get done but you know in your heart of hearts that they will be accomplished?

If they’re not then I have to ask you why not? We are privileged enough be able to grow an enterprise in the most wonderfully exciting industry on earth and yet so many of you my readers will settle for so much less than what you could have obtained.

Why is that? I want you to really stop and think right now why have I been cutting myself short? Don’t make excuses for now is not the time. Today is the first day of the rest of your life and the bottom line to this equation is that you have an opportunity to create a life that dreams are made of so don’t start it off by fooling yourself.

Don’t say I can’t do this because I don’t know how to set up a blog because there are so many free and paid courses on exactly how to do this. Don’t say that you could never speak in front of a crowd of people like your upline leaders have just done since if the dream is big enough the motivation and discipline required to do just that will manifest itself.

Don’t say I can’t learn to be the Alpha in the room because there are courses on how to rise above beta status and do just that.

The second important area of consideration in regards to dreams is that how can you fit someone else’ dream inside your own if you have a small one?

What I mean is that if your dream within this industry is to make an additional $500 per month how can you sponsor someone whose dream it is to make an additional $5,000 per month? How about that ambitious person who wants to add an additional $10,000 per month to their bottom line?

The cold hard truth of the matter is that you can’t. Not only will you not be able to sponsor this type of person but more than likely when you try and get discouraged it is going to blow you out of the water and send you packing to a life of 40-40 or otherwise known as 40 years working for the man to retire with 40% of the pay you couldn’t live on in the first place.

Did you know that the average person in network marketing will sponsor 2.97 people throughout their entire career? Why on earth would you allow yourself to be average? Why wouldn’t you take however long it is to master just one skill at a time so that over the course of several years you develop the necessary skill sets to become a master networker?

I am going to make a bold statement here and if anyone disagrees then by all means speak up: I guarantee your success as long as you don’t quit. If you will take the time to find a mentor who cares about you and your development while everyday working on just one skill set at a time there is absolutely no limit to what you can accomplish in this industry and in life for that matter.

I really feel that this is a powerful message that needs to be heard by as many folks as possible so if you have gained value from it please use the blue Facebook share button to help me get the word out.

This is such a great post because there are so many people who simply don’t dream big enough. Then the problem becomes that they actually make their dreams come true only to realize that maybe they should have dreamed bigger.

As you know, I am somewhat of a dreamer myself so my problem has never been about creating the dream, but rather taking the steps to make it happen. Though I’m happy to say I’m doing much better on that respect as of late :)

Awesome content as usual John! Always enjoy hearing what you have to say.

Thank you John for a very insightful and penetrating post.

Just now, I put down Napoleon Hill’s “Think and Grow Rich” to type this comment. Chapter one talks about a burning desire. How bad do you want it? Can you taste your victory? Can you work yourself into a “white heat of desire” for your big dream?

It is so great to hang out with big dreamers. Thanks a bunch!

You’re always such an inspiration my friend!

If we don’t dream big, we won’t get anywhere. Love the fact that you pointed that out. And it’s so true, that if you just don’t quit…. EVER….. you will be successful!

Thanks for the great post! It’s definitely a revisit one!

Really, why bother dreaming at all if you aren’t going to dream for things that will REALLY bring you happiness? Nobody wants to just get by, we all have those big dreams inside us still that we had when we were children. We just let our fears and insecurities become BIGGER than the DESIRE to make it happen!!! Good word John. I love the point you made that if we do not dream big enough and plan to bring other people on board with what we are doing, we are limiting them as well. Just one more huge reason to start dreaming BIG again! Keep ‘em coming buddy!

Hi John,

Your commitment and passion continue to shine as you pose thoughtful questions. I enjoyed your example of sponsoring someone who has a bigger dream than you… a great way to ‘stretch’ someone. Add Belief in your Dreams and Action into the mix and you’re in for some powerful results :)

Thanks again, for the inspiration.

Kim,
I really appreciate your kind words my friend. On a personal basis I can only follow a leader whose vision is at least as big as mine or bigger and it is my suspicion that most folks are pretty much the same way so it behooves everyone of us to make sure that we are that leader others would follow.

Keep on rockin!

hey John, Great Post and really enjoyed the video. Many people do not want to breakthrough their limitations. They do not want to step out of their comfort zone. The why and the dreams are what keeps us from quitting.

Right on Ed. If this were easy everyone would be 7 Figure earners but the fact of the matter is it’s not. It’s straight forward but it does take discipline, imagination and an undying will to win.

Glad to be working with such a quality person as yourself my friend.

Keep rockin.

John,

This is a very powerful article and you hit the nail on the head with the 40/40 plan and the alternatives. Most people don’t know how to dream big because they are so wrapped up in their daily lives and forget about the unprecedented opportunity that’s out there and afforded to each of us.

All it takes is to build one skill at a time like you mentioned and develop yourself personally and then you will see the changes. Great Article, and keep spreading your knowledge. I absolutely love it.

My dreams are big enough John.

My skill needs to catch up for me to see the kind of success I want.

And because my dreams are so big, they continue to get me out of bed everyday to work on myself to grow to the point that I attract all of my dreams. I think that makes sense.

Thanks for the uplifting post.

I believe you need a dream, albeit a realistic one to start with. Consistent work on achieving your goals will lead to the dream being fulfilled in the end. The ultimate thing I believe in is that the only ones to fail are those that quit. Some acive things quickly and others slowly – either way the dream can be realised.
Thanks for the inspiration.

John Chatman Reply:

Barrie,
I definitely agree my friend. Consistent work on your dream will bring it to fruition quicker than any amount of daydreaming or using “The Secret” ever will. The trick here is that you want to make sure that you’re dream isn’t too “realistic”. Your dream should be a -s t r e t c h- for you to achieve so that grow as a professional and a person continuosly.

Thanks for input,
John
