Good to hear from you my friend. Your absolutely right it is all about QUALITY & not quantity. Too many times there are folks that are in a race to be the first person to 5,000 friends on Facebook and when they get there it’s like there in a room with 5,000 strangers.

Keeping it real, being interested in the other person’ ideas, hopes, and dreams is the only way to rock it on Facebook and life in general.

You’ve hit the focal point of our business, RELATIONSHIPS and FRIENDSHIPS. We need the followers, the fans and the quantity as well on Facebook but the most important thing is how many actually great connections do we have on Facebook! Find out a little bit about the person you are adding as a friend, ask him a question and connect. It will pay you off big time. Invest in your realtionships first.

You are the Master of creating a memorable friendship on Facebook. It constantly amazes me how few people take just that one extra step to personalize a friend request, or read someone’s profile info before responding to a friend request.

John my Friend! I’m with you in that I don’t appreciate the pitching/spammy approach. I DO appreciate it when I receive a friend
request with a personal message. What I can’t stand is when they use the FB faceless pic or especially when they use their company logo. What gives?

Hi John,
Good information that many people don’t realize. I don’t add friends much these days, but whenever someone adds me as a friend, if they leave a message, I ALWAYS respond. Even worse than not sending a greeting message is if someone takes the time to add you and send you a message, is accepting the friend request with no reciprocation.
Also, the way you and I became better friends was directly due to the fact that you made an effort to “Chat” with me one day on facebook. These things make all the difference. You’re awesome, John

HAHHAHAHA… I have to tell you Glenn. I absolutely love your dry sense of humor partner. You are truly right on the dot in your synopsis of what Facebook is really about. A person can have 5,000 “friends” but if no relationship has developed then other than being the most popular cat in town what has it really served them?

So many people totally miss the boat when it comes to Facebook. There are about 900 ways to do it wrong and I think I’ve seen most of them.

Many are just there to add you as a friend. Last I heard this was a relationship business and not a friend adding business. Right?

Hey Kathy,
Thanks for the comment. In regards to your question I actually like the idea of sending a video to a new Facebook friend but with a proviso….. The video should be PERSONALIZED to them and not some cookie cutter video that you send to everyone who accepts your friend’s request.

If you have a webcam it is really easy to do as well. There’s a strategy that I am going to hip you guys too as soon as I pick up my webcam. I am reviewing a couple of models so if anyone knows a quality one please feel free to make a suggestion.
