Bruce Lee 291x300 Flow Like Water: MLM Prospecting Training In this MLM Prospecting Training I will teach you how to “Flow like water” using the training of Martial Arts Master Bruce Lee. In this post I am going to discuss how you can incorporate this  philosophy into your network marketing experience and start recruiting more representatives and generating more profit TODAY.

What is it that you feel when you are about to speak with a prospect about your business? Take a moment to analyze this feeling, this emotion. I want you to envision in your mind’s eye that you are picking up that phone to introduce them to what could possibly be a life changing opportunity.

Are you excited about the possibility that they are in the right point in their life that will leave them to be open to a successful partnership with you and your mastermind team? Are you pleased that you can bring them a way out of the daily grind that their life has become? Maybe you’re looking forward to the dream vacation that you will be able to experience with them as a result of your hard work in building a legitimate business from the comfort of your home.

All of the above possible outcomes of course are but a few of the ways you might be feeling right now but if you’re like most home based business developers you probably are dealing with the anxiety that is building up in the pit of your stomach.

The thoughts that are racing through your head contain such statements as “I really hope this person gets in because I know if I can just land THEM all my problems will be over.” Or maybe feelings of insecurity cloud your mind wondering what if they reject you?

What if they laugh at me and say “Are you in ANOTHER ONE OF THOSE THINGS? I thought the last one was supposed to be THE ONE.”

If your thoughts and feelings are more like the second set of emotions then I have something to tell you that is going to ease your mind and enable you to start recruiting more representatives to your team…. TODAY.

The secret to “Flowing Like Water” in prospecting opportunities can be summed up in this mantra which you can repeat to yourself throughout the day until it becomes who you are at the core level:

It does not matter whether this person joins my business. My success is not dependent upon them and because I know this I am not attached to the outcome of this conversation. I will flow like water knowing that I bring abundance and prosperity with me.

You see the wonderful thing about Network Marketing is that your success truly isn’t dependent upon any ONE person in the least. As a matter of fact the secret to success in this industry is that you must have a large group of people taking consistent simple daily actions over a period of time.

In knowing this secret to success we can see that our success is not based upon individual actions but in fact upon our own simple consistent daily actions over a period of time.

This is not a get rich quick business my friends. It is in fact a get filthy rich enterprise spaced out over 24-48 month period of time.

So the next time you are about to speak to a potential business partner whether it be over the phone or in person make sure that you smile to yourself knowing that you are bring them the opportunity to lead and experience a life most others will only dream about.

Hi John,
I love your post!!!!I have a similar mantra that I use and I keep repeating it especially when a “prospect” hesitates and finally says “No” to what I’m presenting. But as you said: IT DOESN’T MATTER AND I FLOW LIKE WATER”.

Have a great day

So true John. I’ve always said that the secret to network marketing success is to detach yourself from the outcome. People will come back when the timing is right for THEM to join your opportunity. Just keep putting lines in the water.

Love the mantra you read, it’s so true to prime our minds to be right BEFORE we speak to prospects.

Thanks for all your wisdom, keep on sharing!

Hey John,

That’s a great analogy. In fact, I believe we can ALL relate on this one. Practicing “no attachment” is so key…

Even if they don’t get into your primary business, it isn’t a no…it may be the timing is off and it’s just not right now. ;)

Cheers man,

Great video.

John,
Great reminder not to get caught up in the outcome. If you approach any situation with your “flow Like Water” mentality, just think how freeing and empowering that would be! No more getting stuck in your stuff! :)

Thanks for the great reminder,
Val :)

Do not be attached to outcomes, only be concerned with the actions in your control. Be fluid and flexible to what the universe has to offer and how it shows up!

I remember started out as a financial planning 7 years ago and my behavior was centered around outcomes and a scarcity mind set.

Once I realized no ONE or even Five appointments would make or break me and that all I could do was all I could do so why sweat outcomes, I was able to relax and get into the FLOW.

Love the Bruce Lee analogy I am a HUGE Kung-fu buff. I grew up watching Saturday morning Kung-fu movies with my uncle on TV.

Terrific post John! :)

Love this:
It does not matter whether this person joins my business. My success is not dependent upon them and because I know this I am not attached to the outcome of this conversation. I will flow like water knowing that I bring abundance and prosperity with me.

So very very true.

John,

Great analogy, I am a huge fan of Bruce Lee and the power of Water :) If you just let it flow , and not depend on if others join you but instead give them value and sharing prosperity thru your actions to help them and it will come to you again and again.

Hi John, I like this post :)

WATER FLOWS, WATER GUSHES. When you pour WATER into a cup, it becomes the cup. BE LIKE WATER.

JEET KUNE DO

Having No Way As Way. Using No Limitation As Limitation.

Bruce would pretty much say “If you want to learn from me, then join my classes. If you do not want to join me, that’s OK. I will not stop practicing my art and training my students”.

He would not depend on people joining his classes because he loved what he done and his success as a Martial Artists did not depend on them. Anyone joining him would be abundantly blessed and prosper.

BE LIKE WATER MY FRIEND!

Hi John, I think this statement could carry over into everyday life and can apply to anything that is a worthwhile endeavor. This will keep me from getting discouraged because you are right, “it doesn’t matter” because there are so many prospective people who will listen and care about what I have to say. Thanks. Hi John, great post! Bruce Lee is one of my all time favorites. The quote I love from him is “Ever since I was a child I have had this instinctive urge for expansion and growth. To me, the function and duty of a quality human being is the sincere and honest development of one’s potential.” He was all quality!

Hey John, I have been away from the UT and had not been checking my e-mail. I went to check my e-mail on UT and to my surprise I saw you had put a post on Bruce Lee on flowing like water. That is what I put on my blog which is not finish yet. I just purchase a DVD two weeks ago on him.

If you have not seen it on the history channel watch the DVD How Bruce Lee change the world. You will love it. Thank you for the post.
