Network Marketing Company 300x154 How To Choose Your MLM CompanyHow to choose your mlm company is a question that might be running through your head right now if you are new to the network marketing industry. With so many top network marketing companies to choose from it can make your head spin just trying to figure out which is the best network marketing opportunity for you.

In this how to choose your mlm company article I will be giving you the benefit of my experience and of the research that I have done on your behalf. The criteria that I have formulated and picked up around the net will give you a decisive advantage in making sure that you are devoting your time and energy to building a business that is congruent with what it is that you wish to create at the core level.

So without any further hesitation these are some of the core considerations in choosing the best home based business opportunity for you:

A)    What Are You Passionate About?
Many people might often overlook this one key area in choosing their network marketing opportunity but I have to tell you that it would be a mistake to do so. Building a thriving home based business can be a difficult proposition and if you aren’t engaged in the product or service that you are representing then it is going to be a lot easier to drop out when the going gets tough.

Plus, who wants to be building something they aren’t passionate about? Life is too short to do anything with anything less than 1,000% effort so get in and rock out!

B)    If You Weren’t Building The Business Would You Still Purchase The Products?
This is a really important question to ask yourself. I see this time and time again that in their zeal to build a big business network marketing distributors are becoming what is known in the industry as “garage qualified”.

This means that they are buying a bunch of product every month that they probably have no real use for and hoarding it in their garage in order to qualify for the next bonus check. If you wouldn’t consume, experience, and or collect whatever it is that you are marketing WITHOUT the motivation of building a business behind it then it is probably a pretty safe bet that your business has no legs and will experience a high rate of attrition over the long term.

C)    Who Is The Management Team Comprised Of?
To know where your company is headed is pretty easy since all you have to do is look at the backgrounds of its top leadership. Who is the CEO? How long has he or she been in the networking industry? What is their reputation within the industry? What is it about their particular background that would lend itself to success in the network marketing field?

There are many examples in the network marketing field where someone or some team who have experienced a high level of success in other industries such as financial services, real estate, or marketing thought that it would be a great idea to “cash in” on the MLM buzz.

The issue with this is that the network marketing industry is unlike any other business model in the world. There are a myriad of complex issues to deal with at the executive level so you had better make darn sure that you have an experienced team steering the company forward or there is a better than average chance things aren’t going to work out well.

D)    What Type Of Financial Situation Is The Company In?
I have been personally adversely affected by this simple question in my networking experience and I don’t want the same to happen to you. You want to know how well the company is capitalized.  Do they have a team of well heeled investors who are ready to step up with the necessary funds to cover any rapid expansion? What is their track record for payouts? Have they missed any?

E)    How Technologically Savvy Are They?
A lot of distributors miss this one but it really is important. There are many companies out there that quite simply “don’t get it” when it comes to marketing and field support for their agents.

You want to make sure that the company is on the leading edge of internet marketing, social media, replicated systems, shipping & delivery, and (this is an important one) have the systems in place which can accommodate international growth.

I have seen companies which are very disjointed where the parent corporation is in Malaysia and the master distributor in the United States only has rights in the USA so their reps couldn’t recruit outside of their home country. This is an absolute joke in today’s internet age. Your company has to be structured properly so that this isn’t an issue in the future.

F)    Who Is Your Mastermind Sponsorship Line?
This just may be the MOST IMPORTANT thing to consider when choosing the right home based business opportunity for you. I can’t stress this last consideration enough in its importance to your growth as a network marketing leader.

The right mentor can inspire you to become more than you ever thought possible. They can teach you about different ways to market, how to build up people into leaders from where they are currently at, how to relate to others in such a way that empowers them, how to generate leads through automated systems, and how to make sure that you are maximizing the profit potential of your particular pay plan.

It is absolutely crucial that you know, respect, and like the person that you are going to be sponsored by since you will hopefully be spending many years building a network marketing empire with them. Integrity, honesty, and a forward looking attitude are a must in my book.

In my post Why Should You Shop For A Network Marketing Sponsor I go into this last criterion more in depth so be sure to check it out for additional information on this subject.

I know that this post has quite literally been the longest one I have on my blog but I feel that it is warranted since this is one of the most important decisions you can make. Regardless of the company you choose to align yourself with one of the things that everyone of us must have in place is a quality Online MLM Training System which teaches us how to market effectively.

I look forward to your feedback, comments, and syndication. If there are areas which you think are pertinent and should be considered as well please feel free to add them in since this list is by no means complete.

Great post! Choosing your network marketing company is so important. There are so many companies out there that don’t stand up to what they really say they are, and if you choose wrong, the consequences are a lot of lost time and loss of credibility, or worse yet, the company goes out of business.

Thanks John, even though I don’t anticipate being in the market for a new network marketing company, the advice is great!

Hey Deb,
So glad to see you roll by my dear. You are absolutely right in regards to the consequences of choosing the wrong company.

One of the hardest of those consequences to deal with is when the company simply quits the MLM business model like with what just happened to the representatives for Efusjon and what happened with our old company iLearningGlobal.

This is why I have learned that one of the most powerful ways to insulate yourself from this happening to you is to form a strong mastermind team where you move as a whole unit rather than individual marketers.

The power in network marketing is in the relationships that we establish and not the XYZ company.

Ciao for now,
J

Jonathan,
That is a really cool thing for you to say my friend. The important part of the equation is that we are hooked up now and can mastermind to greater heights of success for both of our families!

Hi John! Get Excited & Stay Excited!!

I think you pretty much summed up the main things that are needed to help anyone find a mlm company. I do think a real important thing is to find what you are truly passionate about and make sure the opportunity you get involved with is centered around that :0) I enjoyed this. Thanks!

Great advice John. Some people just jump into whatever company with their eyes closed and then wonder why they don’t make millions. A little preparation prior to joining a new company and starting on the road to success is advice that shouldn’t be taken lightly. I wholeheartedly agree that you need a good mentor or team to work with to succeed.

John,

Great article. I just do not totally agree with consideration E. It is important that a company be technologically saavy. Just not on the leading edge. The leading edge is not called the bleeding edge for nothing. Leading/bleeding edge technology is typically expensive, often difficult to implement and time-consuming for MLM reps to learn.
