Love the post. I read a lot of self development books. I also listen to CD's and watch videos. I have a wide collection. Everyday I make sure I read for at least 10 minutes, listen to my audio for at least 10 minutes and watch DVD's for at least 1hr a week. Most days I read and listen to my audio longer, but if I get in 10 minutes then I feel good.

Hey thanks John for this post, I take in an hour every morning of personal development and I feel a major difference in my life in every area. Now that I'm aware of PCM, it's time to heat some things up!

Great post John! It's exactly why Jim Rohn's words,

"You have to work more on yourself than on your business."

are so true. To succeed you have to be so hot that it's deeply uncomfortable and that's when you'll need to be able to manage your mind and emotions to see the process through. Thank you.

Hey John, this is a great post, as always.

It reminds me of a conversation I was having the other night with a Bunco buddy about Yoga. She said that she takes Yoga classes at her local school and doesn’t feel like she’s getting enough out of it because it’s not a heated studio and it’s just not hot enough to get the full effects of a Yoga class.

I FULLY AGREE.

The point of Yoga is to heat up your muscles so they become more limber and you’re able to get into the harder positions.

It’s the same thing with turning up your internal thermostat. It’s gotta be set way up and the “heat has to be on” (so to speak), to be able to reach the hard goals and the higher levels in life in general.

You’re right, we are all where we are because of choices we’ve made and places that we’ve gotten “comfortable” in life. It’s like the dog laying on the nail. If the pain isn’t great enough we aren’t going to move off it.

Turn up the heat and let’s Rock.

(By the way, what is the little Twitter plugin you have below. That's cool!)

Great post John! Ranked 2nd on Google if you type in "internal thermostat, PCM". Great job. I loved all the feedback you received as much as the post itself. Of course, everyone answered so intelligently, that I tried to Google it, to add some valuable feedback myself, and came across your blog, so decided just to give you props instead, and congratulate you on a job well done, and thank you for taking the time to teach us how to be better people, and better at what we do!
Until the next time,
Jamie

Thank You John for this powerful statement: “At this very moment in your life you are exactly where you want to be on a spiritual, emotional, financial, and physical level.” It is sooo TRUE. I have been honing down my life in all areas with lots of self-reflection as well as action. I think it is also important to take note that in all levels it does take time and it is a process...That's why going over post like yours is a great reminder that it is a process. And there are incredible options there just like what you mentioned above. Depends what your working on the most and what is currently more important to you in your life.

So I thank You for including the following words, "change our internal thermostat through the process of self development and daily disciplines. The self development process is such that when we are studying this material on a daily basis we begin to understand that there is prosperity, joy, and fellowship all around us at all times." I have found that this is the key also to turn up the heat or re-evaluate your life. I have heard that the key to personal development is bring growth oriented than goal oriented.

I too love the streaming video "world class library"
Thanks for the share John =)
