The Fast Track of Life
By
The Fast Track of Life is a term that I have given the exponential growth which occurs on an emotional, physical, and financial status when you apply yourself to a curriculum of continuous lifelong learning.
According to Brian Tracy we are entering into a time of human history that economist have called the “Golden Age of Mankind” where world income is increasing at a faster rate than ever before with more people becoming millionaires and billionaires than at any time before.
The question that might pop into your mind is that if everything is going so well how is it that I am not profiting from this shift in wealth? This is a very important question because let’s face the facts it really doesn’t matter how great someone else is doing if you don’t have access to be able to increase your prosperity as well.
The vehicle to create this success is the Fast Track of Life. Most people when asked if they would like to double their income would reply right away with a yes. The truth of the matter is that world incomes as an average are currently rising at about 3% per annum which when taken into context would mean that you as a working class individual would automatically double your income after about 22 years.
Now I don’t know about you but the prospect of being able to double my current income over the next 22 years doesn’t really excite me. What sounds a lot better to me is to invest in continued education thereby putting myself on the Fast Track of Life and experiencing an average increase in income of about 10%-25% per annum.
When we are growing our income at a rate of 25% per year this would allow us to double our income through compounding interest in 2.7 years!! Which way would you prefer 22 years or 2.7 years?
Now that we have established the desire to double our income and we also know whether or not we would like to take the long route or simply take the accelerated path the next most important question to answer is HOW.
There are a couple of different ways to go about obtaining the continued education that will propel us onto the Fast Track of Life. Let’s take a little bit of time to explore them in turn.
A) Traditional College or University: To obtain a degree from one of these institutions you’re looking at spending between $7,000 & $50,000 per year. This will subject you to graduating with between $28,000 to $200,000 in debt.
The other cost to track is that of time. Upon completing this process you will have invested between 4-5 years of your life being trained to go find a job.
Is the return on investment enough to go through the hassle of obtaining a degree? The overwhelming answer is yes! On average a person with a Master’s degree will earn more than $1.3 Million more than someone with just a high school diploma.
The major downside to this method is that someone else is still your boss and gets to tell you what to do, when to do it, and with whom you can do it with.
On top of this you are guaranteed nothing. You’re not guaranteed to have a job, you’re not guaranteed any stability whatsoever especially in today’s economy. The only thing that your guaranteed of is that the company will keep you around as long as you are valuable to them. Once your value is exhausted or they can replace you with someone for less than you can expect to be looking for a new job.
B) Online Universities: These businesses are for-profit educational centers whose main advantage is that you get to complete their accredited programs usually between 18 months and 3 years while taking them from the comfort of your own home. When you average out the costs the two separate paths are very similar so you can expect to come out of school with between with an average of $40,000-$55,000 in debt.
C) iLearningGlobal (ILG): ILG is an educational internet portal that was set up to deliver the world’s best Self Development & Business Success strategies. It is not a traditional educational center like the two mentioned above instead it focuses on delivering life and business skills that the member can use to increase their value which translates to greater promotional opportunity at their job, a happier home life, and a more fulfilled life in general.
It’s content is developed by a world class panel of the best business success and personal development leaders on the planet. When reviewing the business content there is that which is geared towards the general business population teaching them how to conduct effective presentations, offline networking, entrepreneurship, sale skills, strategic growth development, and wealth building to name but a few.
As a client you can access all of the amazing material that they offer for $49 per month. The amazing thing about this is that you are paying less than $100 per month for quite literally MILLIONS of dollars in value.
There is also a flagship product with the acronym E.D.G.E for Expert Directed Guided Education which is geared towards the serious entrepreneur, and small business owners. It’s whole purpose is to assist them increase their profits, productivity and cash flow; and decrease their taxes, stress and hours worked. The return on investment (ROI) that the member receives is absolutely astronomical. The tax program alone within the system was developed by one of America’s foremost experts and is capable of saving the member anywhere from $5,000 to $30,000 immediately in taxes.
This is a pretty straightforward concept that once seized upon can exponentially increase the amount of money and free time that you experience in your life.

John,
Awesome post! I am one of those “Corporate” people who had a job, liked what I did, but did not control my destiny, my salary, hours worked (and paid for), etc.
Being an Entrepreneur not only allows you the freedom but also the finances to change your own life and help others, as well.
Thanks for sharing this message!

It’s pretty exciting when you can look back and see how continual learning has changed your life and your mindset.
And…it’s interesting when I get with an old group of friends and listen to them talk. I find it very hard to listen to the negative crap (sorry) any more!
I love being an Entrepreneur, and I truly love the people in this Industry. I don’t go a day without reading or listening to something motivational.
Thanks for the post John, it’s a great video!

Sharlene,
That is so hillarious!! What makes it so funny is that it is incredibly true. I find that when I am around some of the folks that I have associated with in the past I don’t find myself to be on the same wavelength as they are. My thoughts are of increase, prosperity, community, and success while theirs are not.
This is just a confirmation that we are both on the right path.
Keep on rockin,
John

John,
You are right on point with this topic. Self development is the key to increasing your earning potential. As Jim Rohn would say, “You have to work harder on yourself, than you do at your job.” Most people think they can get by with their standard traditional education. Well they can as long as they like standard pay.
Here are a few statistics that blew my mind:
1. 80% of American’s didn’t buy a book last year.
2. 43% of American’s read below a 7th grade level.
3. 70% of American adults have not been in a bookstore in the last 5 years.
4. 58% of American adults never read a book after high school.
5. 42% of University Graduates NEVER read another book. WOW!
Another study reports only 14% of society would go in a bookstore or a library and actually walk out with a book. And only 10% of those would read past the first chapter.
Sorry about going on about these facts but I believe these points are why most people are where they are in life.
In America approximately only 5% of people that retire couldn’t do this without some type of financial assistance e.g.; social security, pensions and etc… People need to wake up and take responsibility for creating their own financial freedom. Working on their own self development is their key to freedom!
The question is, will they take the necessary steps to achieve it?

Dave,
Thanks for the thoughtful response my friend. The bottom line here unfortunately is that this is the truth. Just like the Ostrich sticking its head in the sand doesn’t do anything to deter the lion from attacking it so does the ignorance of the American public not does not slow down the march of technological advancement that is powering the growth of so many of the world’s countries.
This is why it is so incredibly important for us an entrepreneurs to continue to develop our skill set on a daily basis since it is our efforts that drive the economy.
Thanks for your input partner,
John

University was an expensive three-year lesson which increased my income by a mere $100 a week. I bless the experience because it drove me to leave employment and pursue business where I could really achieve my goals.
